Scott Fitzgerald Gray

Seconded with great enthusiasm. I love medieval fantasy that breaks enough of the the rules to make things fun, and I'm always happy to see the realistic tropes switched up in the interest of characters' lives being slight less solitary, poor, brutish, nasty, and short than was the norm. But there's a kind of "fourth wall" of medieval fantasy language and style that should never be crossed.
