Geoffrey Kidd

I can name at least three people for whom I would GLEEFULLY buy gift electronic copies of Bujold's "The Sharing Knife", including one as a joyous gift to myself. I'm told HarperCollins has NO plans to release one, at least until the paperback comes out something like eight months from now. Apparently "The e-book release might impact sales of the hardcover."

Meanwhile, today I got an offer to pre-order an electronic copy of the new Michael Crichton, "Next". So where's objection to the impact on the hardcover of THAT?

Might I suggest releasing books people WANT to buy in time for the holidays?
