When college professor Jack Barnes is infected with the zombie virus, he retains something most other brain eaters lack: sentience. Yes, Jack can think, and write! So he does what any thinking zombie would do…he eats some brains. And then he sets off on a grueling journey to demonstrate his unique ability to his creator, the man responsible for the zombie virus. Picking up a motley band of cognizant undead along the way, Jack and his crew of merry rotting companions must navigate a treacherous road filled with zombie hunters, hordes of shuffling, blank-faced brethren, and, of course, brains, on their quest for what they believe is every zombie’s right: equality.
Yesterday, on John Scalzi’s THE BIG IDEA, Robin discussed the process behind coming up with a zombie who, despite his hunger for brains, can think, feel, and even love. And she recently did a guest post on READING WITH TEQUILA and a Q&A on REX ROBOT REVIEWS.
